On 12 February 2025, the Northern Territory Government introduced the Territory Coordinator Bill 2025 to the NT Legislative Assembly.

The Bill proposes to create the Territory Coordinator who would be a non-elected official who works with the NT Minister for the Territory Coordinator (currently the Chief Minister), government agencies and companies to coordinate and consolidate project approval processes.

The Bill has been referred to the Legislative Scrutiny Committee for consideration, with public submissions due to the Committee by close of business on 19 February 2025.
