A legal loophole is allowing people to get away with recklessly entering croc habitat for content – endangering themselves and the crocodiles.
We’re working with conservationist Bob Irwin to urge the Queensland Government to change the laws to better protect crocodiles.
Australia’s rarest fish
Weak laws are allowing salmon farming to wreak havoc on marine ecosystems in Tasmania. Habitat loss and pollution from salmon farming poses a risk to the Red Handfish, which has around 100 adults left.
Rapid growth and industrialisation of the salmon industry is happening without strong regulations to protect Tasmania’s marine ecosystems, including a lack of protection for threatened species and natural and cultural values of a Tasmanian World Heritage Area.
Australia is legally wiping out its unique wildlife
Incredible animals like the greater glider, koala and Tasmanian devil are being wiped out by rampant development, logging and mining.
This destruction shouldn’t be legal. But it often is.
Our lawyers are fighting to fix our broken nature laws and take legal action to hold companies and governments to account over harm to threatened wildlife.
