We at EDO acknowledge and pay tribute to First Nations peoples’ historical and on-going custodianship of the environment and their sophisticated connection and relationship to it. We recognise and celebrate our First Nations clients and their communities, who are fighting for justice for their people and Countries.
On this ‘Day of Mourning’, we pay respect to, and stand in solidarity with, Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples. We recognise that ‘Invasion Day’ represents the start of a violent process of colonisation that continues to affect First Nations people’s connections to their land, culture, spirituality, ancestry, and community.
Sovereignty was never ceded. Always was, always will be, Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander land.
